June 04, 2008The Carbondale Police Department is investigating a Theft that occurred from 119 N. Washington (Tres Hombres Restaurant) on the evening of May 26th, 2008. Upon arrival, officers learned that a male had entered the restaurant and stolen a bank bag containing an undisclosed amount of currency and credit card receipts. The suspect fled on foot out the west side door of the restaurant. The bag was described as a blue, zippered vinyl bank bag with "Night Rest" written in black marker. The male was described as wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt, white t-shirt and khaki pants. During the course of the investigation, the suspect has been identified as Kelly R. Hart, a 41 year old male from Marion. Hart currently has a Williamson County warrant for his arrest for Aggravated Battery. Below is a photograph of Hart. June 16, 2008The Carbondale Police Department is investigating a Burglary that occurred between 12:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 15, 2008 at 405 S. Washington (Italian Village Restaurant). Upon arrival, officers learned that suspects had entered the restaurant through the roof causing damage to the business. Once inside it appears that nothing had been taken.
