Or, you can e-mail a tip on the interactive on-line anonymous tip program by clicking on this link:

If your information results in the arrest of an offender, you become eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 (depending upon the amount of points you earn). Arrangements will be made so that you can receive your reward in cash and protect your identity.

What type of information can you report?

The police are seeking information from the Carbondale and SIUC communities about any criminal activity you know about, have credible information about, or activites that seem suspicious. Anyone can call. Tips are not limited to the Crime of the Week.

Rewards can be paid out to those persons who call the tip line and provide information.

Of course, the police are always wanting information on:

  • the whereabouts of persons with outstanding warrants issued for their arrest
  • the location of suspected drug houses, rooms, or locations (parks, stores, parking areas)
  • suspicious persons driving, walking, or cruising through neighborhoods or parking lots

So, please, call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 549-COPS, or 549-2677.
